What Types of Membership Exist
FOSSASIA offers memberships for individuals and organizations. Membership options are community member, supporting member, and professional member. For affiliate memberships for organizations there are different tiers available.
Join as an Individual Member
Membership provides many benefits to any person or group who would like to support the FOSS/Open Tech community. Individual members can participate directly in the growth of Open Technologies by creating, joining and incubating projects. These projects serve as resources for the entire open source community. Furthermore FOSSASIA provides grants to core members and project leaders to attend conferences and present projects.
A few conditions apply:
* Recognition letter: This requires a 6 months membership and substantial contributions in the community, for example: As a member of the organization team at an event, mentor in a project, volunteer, developer, designer or any other active role. As an example for active contributions developers would have at least 10 merged pull requests within the last year.
